BAHA's "baking" journal :)

Hello journal,

Baby girl is doing fine and is very active especially this morning. I can feel her knees and head moving as if dancing to the tune of "Call Me Maybe", LOL!
Big sis was also dancing and excitedly pat lil sis... I can't wait to hold her and I know she'll love to dance with mom, dad and big sis!

Still having the 5 unit shot of Humulin. So far my sugar level's doing good. Family and relatives are all excited for the coming of our second bundle of joy.

Getting the jitters now for the arrival of my baby! Can't blame me if I'm still feeling a bit scared despite having my eldest already. I dunno... I just hope and pray that this is also a success. Our whole family is very excited and happy! Anytime this January, our family turns from 3 to 4!! :)

We baked and we are just ecstatic to announce that we have come up with a very beautiful and adorable baby- our Ericka Casey! Thank you dear Lord!!
Gave birth last January to a healthy baby girl named Ericka Casey! For a 2-month old, she's indeed bigger than other babies her age. We all love this newest addition to our family. Our pretty little princess!

May 30th is Ericka's 4th month birthday! Woohoo! Time flies so fast. I feel like the day when she was born was just like a week ago. Been busy lately at work from my 3 month maternity leave. If only hubby and I have the money I'd certainly opt to stay at home. Ugh! Nevertheless, I'm still thankful that God provided us two our stable jobs to support our family, which is apparently, getting bigger! Would you believe that the other night, hubby and I talked about having a boy next year?! Haha!

Just came back to work and missing my baby so much. Oh, I know I'd get used to this. :(
Family bonding last Memorial day. The 3 day holiday wasn't enough.
Went shopping yesterday for more Ericka stuff. This baby's vain! :p Big sissy mentioned that Ericka is her mini her. That's just cute. :) Ericka's getting huge and prettier each day. Everyone comments on how pretty her hair and eyes are!

Lovin' every bit of motherhood really. :)

Ericka is getting heavier but she got some rashes on her face the other day. Today it's getting less obvious. I think she got it from the detergent I've tried last weekend. Need to find organic or milder detergents for her clothes and stuff only. Hubby is revamping my eldest's playpen- to accommodate our 2 princesses!

Based on my observation, Ericka has a very reserved personality, very sweet and adorable. Well her sissy is equally sweet and charming too but I think she's more of an extrovert than Ericka. It manifested when she was still a baby. My eldest wanted all the attention she could get and always wanted us to rock her. Ericka is very quiet, cries when there's a need for a nappy change, when hungry or when she feels a bit sick. Nevertheless, I love these 2 princesses of ours!!! Who knows if we'd get to have a prince soon... ;)

Ericka's 7th month birthday is getting close. We've decided to celebrate it on our garden at home. Probably a rustic or vintage theme with everything pink, just like what we did last year for her baby shower. The difference is this will be a tea party that goes onto dinner. Nothing grandiose. We just want to celebrate it with my in-laws around. My sis-in-law's fiance from Denmark is coming too. So the fam will get to have some bonding time with Ericka for sure. :)

I'm so glad my blood sugar levels are consistently normal several months after having GDM. Thank God!

Baby's doing great and is on the pink of health too. Just had her Rotavirus shots completed the other week.

Getting more active each day. She loves to smile and giggle. Oh, the joys of motherhood!

Baby's christening this November is fast approaching. A lot of our friends got surprised that it's a tad late. I know- and we planned for it! We want to have a double celebration- big sissy's 9th birthday and our baby's christening. It's more practical I should say. I need to decide on which theme to go for this month as the first two weeks of November is the time where we give out the invites. Christening would be November 23 or 24.
So excited !! :)

Re: BAHA's "baking" journal :)

It has been a long weekend- to a fault! I was geared to enjoying the Veteran's Day but was bitten by a stray cat. Ugh! I have no idea of whose cat it was and was very worried if it's rabid or not so just to be sure I headed immediately to the closest Emergency Room and got my Anti-Tetanus and Anti-Rabies vax. The doctor told me that the Rabies will only protect me after a couple of weeks so I need protection on the first 2 weeks. I need the ERIG or HRIG (the more expensive) vax.

The next day I got my ERIG vax and failed the skin test so HRIG's the last option. It's freaking expensive!!!! It depends on the body weight and so I've needed 5 vials. But I didn't have any choice but to shell out some bucks! Well better be safe than sorry I should say. Taking care of myself is like taking care of my family. They need me so I should always be in the pink of health and always safe... I still thank God that we're all ok.

The November 24th event has been finalized! Invites were sent out. Big sissy and lil sissy are both excited. Well, I don't know if lil Ericka has any idea but I feel that she loves the sparkling sequin dress that she's gonna wear on her Christening! :)

Re: BAHA's "baking" journal :)

I'm happy that we were able to pull off an awesome party! Imagine our families, close relatives and friends being able to celebrate the two special occasions on my little girls lives... It's a memorable one. Despite the unfortunate event that has happened with my cat-bite, despite the stressful things that come along motherhood, career and family life itself, I consider myself happy and complete. It does come in a package! And I'm willing to embrace life's difficulties and sacrifices as long as I have my family to enjoy God's blessings...
