How many children do you want dear?
 

Hiya ladies,

With our current economy, what is the ideal number of children for an average-income family? I know economies vary per country but let's just base it according to the income. How many bubba is advisable to meet the family's needs and wants?

With my current issues with my bf, I only want 1 :(

But if all goes well in the future, I'd want 2.

Average-income: I'd say one or two just to make sure that you could provide all their needs without sacrificing other things.

I'd want a boy and a girl... so that's two. But if it's gonna be two boys... then so be it. I do not want any more than that just to make sure that I can provide well enough for the kids.

Hmmm... I think just one! I want to shower my baby with all the blessings! As of the moment, I am also not in the very best of financial situations so I don't think it would be wise to have more.

I say 4 at most. :)
No biggie as long as we've got the quids in sending them to good school etc.

Right. We wouldn't really avoid the fact that money is still a factor in raising a family. If you've got a huge source of income and the mom's readiness, the number isn't not an issue anymore.

LOL! You've said the exact words Idalia! When I was in labour, I'm telling you, it was the painful thing I have experienced physically, like breaking my pelvic bones- it was paralysing! And I admit, at that point I don't wanna experience it again. But now that the pain is over, I'm contemplating to have another baby, but I'd give it a 5 year gap. Talk about negotiation! :p
