Tips for Easy Labor

Share some tips here so delivery will be easier! We all know that we should start as early as the first trimester preparing for the big day. Apart from that, just share any tips you have done or been told to do before and during labor :)

Eat moderately, i.e. don't gain weight too much! It does affect pregnancy. And of course, this should be done all throughout the pregnancy.

So I guess it would really help if there's some exercise involved...

Yep... I guess exercises have already been mentioned in another thread. Anyway... walking is great... it doesn't have to be brisk. Yoga (breathing exercises) also helps for proper breathing during labor.

Of course of course! Nothing brisk! Extra care is always a given and not to forget, no stress!

Nothing is a surety to having an easy labor. Most moms go through this while a few don't. But the above ways could at least lessen the pain for sure.

Talk to your practitioner, know what to prepare for and read books on how to relax and deal with proper breathing and positioning when in labour. Lucky for some that don't have painful contractions but we'll never know, just expect the worse and prepare for it.

Get up and exercise. Move around. Being in a tip-top shape while pregnant will make a labor easier and less painful, although not a guarantee.

Be active while pregnant and most importantly move around more DURING labor.

You still have to ask your doctor if it's okay for you to take.

I didn't have any problems with it. I guess it depends on who would take it... allergic reaction or something? Or perhaps in the dosage?

I guess it's best to ask your doctor first and if he/she agrees then go for it

This one I am not sure if it's for real... I've read that having sex a few weeks before delivery will ease it... I'm not really sure if this is a joke, if it's real, or just pure speculation xD

Kegel exercises also helped me a lot! Good for urinary issues too...

True... if your doctor recommends it, then go for it.

Yes, it aids easier labour. Didn't know it's great for urinary problems too. Thanks for sharing!
