Ever since, I've been very scared of going to the doctor, let alone going to the hospital. If given the chance to choose, I would prefer giving birth at the comfort of my home with my preferred OB of course. But I've got previa now so I guess it's better to have the hospital facilities around in my condition.
At the hospital, no doubt about it. You never really know what would happen when you are giving birth. I don't want to have any complications at that time. It would be very stressful. Knowing that all that you need is within reach feels better and safe.

You've got a point. But then what if there's a complication? You will end up being rushed to the hospital still. So better to be on a safer side, opt for the hospital.
I gave birth at the hospital and if in the future I get pregnant again, I'd still go to the hospital to give birth. Though it sounds cozy to give birth at home, I guess it would be hectic for every one at home. Fun yes but hectic specially if you have close knit family :P

It's true Idalia but there are moms who already know their pregnancy trend thus opting for a birth at home.
You've made your points intelligently girls and only the medical practitioner could say if a mother's pregnancy is risky or not. But that is just a mere estimate. A doctor may say that a pregnancy is safe for a birth at home option but will sometimes turn out otherwise.

So true. I myself want to give birth at home, as I've stated earlier on this thread, but if my gynecologist advises otherwise, of course I'll go for the hospital!

Yes, most of the time doctors could advise you to give it a go but it's not really a 100% guarantee as unfortunately, complications happen just a few hours before delivery so I would still choose giving birth at a hospital.
