Halia's Trip to Mumhood!!!
 

EDD is March 2013. The first trimester was a breeze. Last month I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes Milletus (GDM). My sugar levels are abnormally high. For it to be controlled and not to put my baby at risk, I inject insulin (5 units) daily. Not only that, limiting my cravings are becoming a part of my ordeal.

Can't drink Anmum :(
 

OB discouraged me to drink Anmum. She told me to just finish the can. She explained that it's useless as I am getting enough nutrients from my multivitamins and calcium supplements. It may also increase my sugar and may not be good now that I'm controlling it. Grrr. I'm so addicted to the Hazelnut flavor and eventually I'll stop.

Can't wait for March! Bubs is getting heavier and heavier each day. I love how my tummy seems to have "waves" when bubs dances!! I'm feeling a little of back pain now, with or without physical activity.

I dunno if this is just holiday blues or something. But since the day after new year I've been feeling rubbish. Feeling hopeless. Feeling like I'm the saddest person in the world. What kind of life would I give my bubs? I'm incomplete myself... :(

Positive:

- Girlfriends dropped by
- My parents are overly supportive
- My sugar is regulated

Negative:

- Feeling hopeless
- Grumpy all the time!
- Had a fight with my BF
- Zits on my shoulder
- Impatient
- Easily gets annoyed by petty stuff
- Too emotional!

Just made a decision that could make or break our lives - accepting my BF to live with me. Whew! :o

BF's doing fine now. I know he's trying. Still having my insulin shots of 5 units.
I could say that I'm happy, for now. Hope this feeling lasts.

I'll be giving birth late this month! :) So excited and a little worried. What kind of mom would I turn out to be? Kept asking myself... :confused:

I'm a mum now! So proud and fulfilled! I'm loving every bit of it!

MY BABY'S DETAILS

Name: Liam Haley (should have the same first letter as his dad, Haley is obviously from me, haha)
Length: 45 cm (quite long!)
Weight: 8 lbs 36 oz (what a biggie!)
Time: 11:17 am (after 12 hours of labor, ugh!)
Date: March 25, 2013 (the day God made me complete)
Procedure: C-Section (didn't progress from 6 cm and had GDM complications)
Location: Liverpool Women's (biggest hospital, more doctors)
Eyes from me, nose and lips from his dad! (This is really mine!!!!)

It'll be Liam's 3rd month birthday on the 25th and my mum is more excited than me in celebrating it. LOL. We're gonna have our close friends and relatives come over a simple tea party. Woohoo! Bubs is getting heavier and more handsome each day! Love you baby Liam!

Liam's getting heavier and bigger each day. He's super hyper, always kicking, rolling around, cooing and playing. I love it when he smiles and he does it most of the time. Aaah, this amazing feeling of being so exhausted physically from work but when I set my eyes on him, he melts every type of weakness and changes it to strength. I so love my baby!!!! :)

Liam got a bit constipated for 2 days. Poor baby! :( His pedia gave him some suppository and thank God he's able to feel better afterwards. Crazy is the word to call me whenever Liam feels uncomfortable or gets sick.

Liam's 5th month birthday is fast approaching. Bf and I saved up a bit for a mini-party for him. Good thing I'm back to working. Earning extra quids to meet Liam's needs and having some good time is definitely an icing on the cake. :p

I'd be stopping school perhaps this year to give way to Liam's. I will definitely go back to the university next year, hopefully when our finances go more stable than now. No worries, all for Liam!

Bf and I bought some colorful room decorations. It's a great start of turning our bedroom to Liam's very own, LOL! :)

It's Liam's 6th Month Birthday next week, hooray!!
He's starting to like the minions so I'm starting to work on a Minion-themed mini tea party for our baby boy.
Just loving the completeness and happiness found in the simplicity of our lives right now. :)

It was baby's 7th month birthday the other day. He's growing up very fast and moving so quickly, I couldn't imagine how we're gonna deal with him when he reaches his "terrible two" stage, LOL! Still, I'm very, very much excited! Looking forward to guiding him in every step of the way. #lovingeverybitofourliam

Baby Liam's teething!! This darling never fails to amaze us every day with his antics and developments! He's also following the tune of the music (even the pop ones, mind youi!) The other day he was crawling and dancing while watching his fave cartoon, haha!

It's baby's 9th this coming Christmas day so it could be a double celebration! :) I feel ultimately blessed that despite of the difficulties I've had with my boyfriend and with a very challenging pregnancy. Oh GDM!!! But ever since it has been difficult, especially on the financial side, whew! Then again I've realized- I've been happy ever since. Seeing my boyfriend improve, though there are still fights presents; our baby Liam growing and developing and with the jobs we have- we just couldn't thank God more. Happy Birthday Jesus Christ!!!
