I'm a bookworm and when I was pregnant I bought a couple of books on pregnancy :P I'm not sure if it really helped me with the preparation but it did help me take my mind off things and of course it made me even more excited!!! xD Also, I poured over baby names! haha!

Been a fan of "What To Expect When You're Expecting" and the "Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy". Timeless preggy books that are ultimately great resources.

I've been hearing that "What to Expect When You're Expecting" book from my mom and mom friends. It's great coz it was published in 1984 (I believe), republished and being read by millions of Americans too. It helped me big time in my pregnancy. I just borrowed one from a colleague. I believe it's also available now in an ebook form.

I've scanned my sissy's What To Expect When You're Expecting and I could say that it's a great book. But other than that I mostly rely on online articles and blogs regarding pregnancy.

I used to read Chicken Soup for the Soul books when I was pregnant. It's very heartwarming and makes me feel good... very inspirational for expecting mothers.

What to Expect When You're Expecting is timeless but I've skimmed my colleague's fave book "The Diaper Diaries" and it's one helluva pregnancy book! It's cool and fun and I'll make sure to have a copy when I get pregnant!

Diaper Diaries? Cool! I do think that for first pregnancies, I'd prefer a more serious and comprehensive pregnancy book. Then perhaps pick up a lighter and funnier ones on the second, IMO.

Ditto to this. I relied a lot on pregnancy blogs and forums. You'll learn a lot from real people.
