Ditto to Gaetana... It is undoubtedly true how we are all dependent to our gynecologists and sonologists during these pregnancy stages....

Yep, we're highly dependent. We're lucky we have these technologies assisting us during our pregnancy. I can't imagine how to have a healthy pregnancy without these like in the old times.Or am I just being too impatient of not seeing my baby for 9 months?

I heard that pelvic diseases, STDs like Gonorrhea are one of the causes of Ectopic pregnancy.

Right. No offence to some but I've heard that those who have STDs are quite good candidates. It's indeed advisable to get treated first before having a baby. Otherwise the baby will definitely be put at risk.

So what happens in an ectopic pregnancy then? Are there any chances of it being successful?

@ Halia - Sadly, most ectopic pregnancies are put to a halt (surgically) because of the probability of their being unsuccessful.
